When joining insulated pipes 1, 2 connected at different angles, preferably heating pipes, consisting of an inner tube 3 in which a fluid is transported, a layer of insulating material 4 and a cover 5, a pipe bend 6 having a suitable curvature is connected with the inner tube 3 in one 1 of the pipes. A cover 7 is affixed and displaced over the connected ends A, B such that the other end B of the pipe bend 6 becomes freely accessible and can be connected with the inner tube 3 of the other pipe 2. The cover 7 on the pipe bend 6 is then displaced towards the centre of the latter, and affixed cover parts 8 on the cover 5 on each pipe end are guided towards the ends A, B of the pipe bend and connected with the cover 7. Insulation material is subsequently introduced through an opening 10 in the cover part 8 which is then connected. By this method, stocking of a large number of different pipe bends with mounted, very space-consuming insulation, is avoided. <IMAGE> |
