In a multi feed circular machine having two butt needles each cam section 10 includes an inclined pattern wheel 24 and a raise cam 34 acting on the lower butts 29 to present the upper butts 27 to the wheel. The raise cam angle is greater than the wheel angle whereby the needle is rapidly raised so that the upper butt is above the wheel. Needles in position 3 may be acted upon by the wheel. The stitch cam 38 is adjustable lengthwise to vary the stitch length. Place cam 54 is settable manually to cancel all tuck and welt, or all welt, selections made by the wheel. |
