PURPOSE:To supply the sludge in uniform amount at all times by a method wherein two distributing pipes through which the sludge to be treated flows are hermetically sealed, thus interrupting a malodor of the sludge and a corrosive gas from the atmosphere while the surfaces of the sludge in the horizontal portions of both branch pipes are continually held at the same height. CONSTITUTION:The sludge is each sent into sealed distributing pipes 33b, 44b through a feed piping 2 and each branch pipe 3a, 4a by means of a pump 11. Air in the sealed distributing pipes 33b, 44b is compressed by the sludge at that time, but discharged to the atmosphere through the feed pipes of centrifugal sludge concentrating devices 9, 10 connected to the both sealed distributing pipes 33b, 44b. Here, the insides of the both sealed distributing pipes 33b, 44b. Here, the insides of the both sealed distributing pipes 33b, 44b are communicated by means of a communicating pipe 14, pressure in the distributing pipes simultaneously becomes equal even when the amounts of the air escaping from the insides of the both sealed distributing pipes make a great difference, and the surfaces of the sludge 5 in the horizontal portions of the both branch pipes 3a, 4a are continually held at the same height. Thus, the sludge in uniform amount can be supplied at all times to a plurality of concentrating devices 9, 10. |
