PURPOSE:To obtain uniform product dry ice of high quality and high accuracy by forming regular-shape dry ice by pressing, holding the pressure for a fixed time to compact the dry ice, and removing the pressing force. CONSTITUTION:A starting material feeding process is started to feed liquefied CO2 gas to press forming chamber 18, where snowy CO2 gas is generated and converted into square dry ice 4 by pushing down pressing unit 10 in the next pressing process. At this time, lid 6 is pressed against guide rails and locked by lock pin 38. Unit 10 is regulated and fixed to carry out a pressure holding process. In the next lid lifting process unit 10 is pulled up somewhat, lid 6 is lifted by spring 28, and hydraulic cylinder 2 extends to shift the lid lifting process to a product pushing-out process where unit 10 pushes dry ice 4 out of chamber 18 onto product carrying plate 8. Finally, cylinder 2 is stopped, and in a resetting process unit 10 is returned to the original position. Dry ice 4 is fed from plate 8 to product taking-out plate 9 with lid 6. |
