<p>PURPOSE:To finish painting providing the external appearance of a film with excellent metallic luster, by a method wherein thermosetting resin having a specified composition is used for metallic painting according to a two-coat one-bake system. CONSTITUTION:In metallic painting according to the combination og thermosetting liquid paints containing a pigment providing the film with metallic appearance and thermosetting transparent powder appearance and thermosetting transparent powder paints, a thermosetting vinyl polymer of a number-average molecular weight of 5,000-30,000, which is manufactured by copolymerizing 3-25pts.wt. N-alkoxymethylacrylamide, 3-20pts.wt. vinyl monomer with hydroxyl groups, 0.5-5pts.wt. vinyl monomer with carboxyl groups, and 50-93.5pts.wt. another vinyl monomer capable of copolymerizing, is used as thermosetting resin. The film provides the external appearance of the film with excellent metallic lucter even when using powder paints.</p> |
