PURPOSE:To improve the dehydration efficiency, by interposing a soft elastic material between the filter cloth and the lower pressure receiving roll. CONSTITUTION:When lower pressure receiving roll 2 of a driving roll is rotated, soft elastic material 5 stretched between roll 2 and auxiliary roll 6 is moved to move endless band filter cloth 3 along each guide rail 4 due to frictional force. Next, mud 8 is poured onto endless band filter cloth 3, and pressure is applied to mud 8 by upper pressure roll 1 to press mud 8 between roll 1 and filter cloth 3, thereby dehydrating and separating water in the mud. At this time, concave distortion angle theta is generated in proportion to pressing force and the elastic degree due to interposition of soft elastic material 5, and the pressure action time is extended in the distribution of pressure applied to the mud in comparison with absence of soft elastic material 5, and water ejection from the mud becomes easy as the result of gradual rise of acting pressure, and the swallowed mud quantity is increased to prevent floating diffusion as the result of reduction of the mud constitution. Then, water counterflow from endless band filter cloth 3 is hardly generated, so that mud 8a of a high dehydration degree can be obtained. |
