<p>PURPOSE:To improve the detecting accuracy of the tension, by operating the reference back tension after the lock-on and before feeding the rolled material to the next stand, for the purpose of automatically absorbing the error of the back tension, at operating the front tension of each stand from the rolling toruqe, the rolling load, and the back tension. CONSTITUTION:At a suitable point of time after the rolled material 1 is fed to the i-th stand 2 and before it is fed to the (i+1)-th stand 3, the reference torque arm is locked on. After that, until the rolled material 1 is fed to the (i+1)-th stand 3, the tension between these two stands is kept zero, and the front tension Ti at this point of time is calculated according to the formula I; if the result of this calculation makes zero, the back tension is being held correct, but if it makes a value epsiloni other than zero, the back tension becomes a value obtained by the formula II. In these formulas, ai-ci are respectively for the reference, the back, and the front tension torque arms, Pi is for the rolling load, and Gi is for the rolling torque. epsiloninot equal to 0 depends on the error included by the back tension Ti-1', and this error DELTATi-1 is obtained from the formula III, and the true back tension Ti-1 is obtained from the formula IV. That is, the front tension arithmetic unit operates the front tension epsiloni from respective input, and inputs the value epsiloni to the back tension arithmetic unit 5; then, the correct back tension is obtained by the back tension correcting unit 6 from the error DELTATi-1.</p> |
