PURPOSE:To instantaneously judge a fault place by transmitting data including an identification code for the automatic transaction processor having the fault to a portable terminal equipment held by a maintenance operator at the occurrence of the fault. CONSTITUTION:In case a monitored ATM (automatic teller machine) has a fault, a microcomputer 12 transmits the data including an identification code for the faulty ATM to a center (not shown) via an NCU/MODEM 15 and a public telephone circuit 1. At the center said data is transformed into a telegram and sent to a portable terminal equipment (not shown) held by a maintenance operator. While the identification code included in the received telegram is displayed on the portable terminal equipment. Thus the operator can instantaneously judge the place of the fault and then quickly recover the faulty ATM. |
