PURPOSE:To prepare laver with improved gloss, by dehydrating prepared laver through pressing, pressurizing it by a roll or press plate having permeability, slight water absorption properties, and improved releasability so that finely spilit parts of laver are laid and the laver is made flat. CONSTITUTION:In press dehydration process A of laver preparing machine, the prepared laver 7 on the reed screen 6 is dehydrated by pressing between the water absorbing plates 12 and 112 consisting of porous water-absorbing elastic materials on the base plates 11 and 111 and the members 15 and 115 having improved releasability and water permeability set on the under surface of the water obsorbing plates 14 and 114, and the water absorbing plates 14 and 114 attached to the going up and down plates 13 and 113. The dehydrated laver is transported then to the pressing process B, and the finely spilit parts of the laver produced in the previous process A is laid on the laver by the 8-16 mesh screen 26 having permeability but hardly water absorbing properties between the press roll 24 coated on the surface of the punching drum 25 and the supporting roll 17 covered with the elastic material 19, to give the prepared laver with smooth surface. |
