The childproof closure comprises a container (1) and a lid (2) which fits in and over the top rim thereof and is shaped such that, in the closed position, its outside diameter approximately coincides with that of the container rim. The container rim has an integral resilient annular portion (16) and/or an external annular collar (15) surrounding an annular hollow space (17) so that this portion (16) and/or collar (15) can be pushed inwards by finger pressure which exposes the edge of the lid and permits it to be lifted. The hollow space (17) may, alternatively, extend over part of the circumference only. |
