Cow stall lying box unit - has tubular members in floor near shoulders sloping upwards and rearwards

The lyingbox unit for a cow-stall has partitions of tubular construction between the lying positions. These are let into the floor at the front end and overhanging with increasing ground clearance as they extend to the rear. Near the shoulders of the lying animal tubular members (8) are let into the floor, these extending at a decreasing gradient rearwards and upwards as far as the end of the lying area (2), and from there steeply upwards. A beam (22) rigidly joins together all these tubular members (8) extending above the rumps of the standing animals.
