<p>When the shuttleless loom, forming a double shed to develop pile fabrics in two layers, is brought to a halt, then the shed-forming mechanism is reversed by at least one working cycle without moving other loom parts. When weaving resumes, the weft feed is interrupted at least once, and the weft is cut, for the leading end of the cut weft to be held until the next weft insertion action occurs. The process ensures that if there is a stoppage, then the loom is correctly positioned automatically for weaving to resume, without requiring the attention of the operative.</p> |
