Air is cleaned by filter with a filter head which is mounted on the clean gas side. It has branches for a compressed air supply for cleaning either by shaking or backflushing. Underneath the head, there is a mounting plate to which the elements are attached. The filter head is constructed so that changing or removing the cleaning system is possible without touching the filter unit. The purge system is connected by a releasable coupling and can be removed from the filter head. The purge unit is accessible even while the unit is operating. The filter element can be dismantled into the filter medium and the support. The filter is to prevent air pollution by dust. The cleaning system can be maintained and/or replaced in a simple way allowing rapid return of the filter to use should this fail.
