PURPOSE:To enhance the sharpness of a magenta image or a cyan image while holding the well-balanced state by arranging emulsion layers in specified order to prevent deterioration of the color reproducibility of the resulting color photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:A green sensitive emulsion layer of higher sensitivity and a red sensitive emulsion layer of higher sensitivity are laid closer to a support than a green sensitive emulsion layer of lower sensitivity and a red sensitive emulsion layer of lower sensitivity to form a multilayered color photosensitive material. The higher sensitivity layers are formed with silver halide of about 0.6-1.5mu average particle size, and the lower sensitivity layers with silver halide of about 0.2-0.5mu average particle size. A blue sensitive emulsion layer may be laid at an arbitrary position, yet in case of a negative photosensitive material for shooting the layer is generally laid farthest from the support, and the other emulsion layers are preferably arranged toward the support in the order of lower sensitivity green, lower sensitivity red, higher sensitivity green and higher sensitivity red. |
