PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic element for color diffusion transfer easy to manufacture and having high processing temp. latitude by using a timing layer having specified aqueous alkali soln. permeability. CONSTITUTION:In a photographic element for color diffusion transfer having a neutralization layer and a timing layer, a soln. prepared by dissolving a polymer having 16-32KCal/mol activation energy of permeation due to an equeous alkali soln. in an org. solvent is applied and dried to form a layer, which is used as the timing layer. The abovementioned polymer is an emulsion-polymerized polymer represented by the general formula (where B is an ethylenic unsatd. carboxylic acid monomer unit; C is a copolymerizable ethylenic unsatd. monomer unit; x is about 5-85wt%; y is about 2-10wt% and z is about 5-40wt%). |
