Domestic yoghurt maker - with gas sensor cutting off electric heating element on reaching optimum maturity

A yoghurt maker for use in private households consists of a bottom with an electrical heating element in which the yoghurt beakers, filled with milk and a yoghurt culture, are inserted. The whole is covered by a detachable lid. One of the beakers receives a gas sensor which is connected to the electronic control and cuts off the power when a certain gas concentration has been reached. This is a clear indication that the yoghurt has reached the optimum maturity and is neither under- nor over-ripe.
