The cleaner device is for the smoke passage and chambers connected to them in a pipe head or mouthpiece, cigarette holder etc. It comprises wires twisted together with natural or artificial fibres gripped between them. At the forward end it has a stem (11) of smaller OD, joining onto a piston portion (12) of larger dia, while at the rear end is a hand grip. The threads or fibres can comprise a mixture of absorbent thread and hard threads in a proportion of between 2:4 and 1:3.
