PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of an information processing system by securing the branch connection of a diagnosis control part of a CPU, a channel device and an operating console to a single transmission line so that the number of interfaces can be cut down to just one between the transmission line and the diagnosis control part. CONSTITUTION:When an operating system OS sends a message to an OPS4, the data are sent to the OPS4 from a channel device 3. In this case, the device 3 sends a packet including the OPS4 added to the output message as a receiver address and the device 3 added as a transmitter address onto a data transmission line 5. A network adaptor 20 of the OPS4 transfers the received packet to an internal memory 19 in case the receiver address sent onto the line 5 shows the OPS4 and reports an interruption to a microprocessor 18. While in case the data supplied through a keyboard of the OPS4 are sent to the OS, the device 3, the OPS4 and the packet of the keyboard input data are sent onto the line 5 via the adaptor 20 as the receiver address, the transmitter address and the data respectively. |
