摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To simply and rapidly detect the acetylene gas dissolved in oil, by a method wherein infrared rays having a wavelength of 2.9-3.2mum are transmitted through or reflected from the gas extracted from insulating oil. CONSTITUTION:The insulating oil collected from electric machinery is allowed to pass through a gas extractor A to extract only gas and this gas is recovered in a gas recovery container 1 through a pipe P. Next, the infrared rays having a wavelength of 2.9-3.2mum from a light emitter 2 are allowed to pass through the pervious window 4 among the pervious windows 4, 5 provided to the opposed places of the container 1 to be allowed to be incident to the container to be transmitted through the gas therein. The transmitted infrared rays are transmitted through the pervious window 5 to be received by a light receiver 3. Then, the infrared rays are reacted only with acetylene gas to be absorbed corresponding to the concn. thereof. Therefore, when the intensity of the infrared rays incident to the pervious window 4 is compared and collated with that of the infrared rays transmitted through the pervious window 5 and the difference between both intensities is detected, the concn. of the acetylene gas contained in the transmitted gas can be selectively detected even when other gas is mixed is said gas.</p>
