<p>A thermoplastic waterbed mattress has seams which are lap welded and comprises a top layer (14), a bottom layer (16), and a number of thermoplastic water - motion - damping members (12) attached inside the mattress to the top and bottom layers (14, 16). Each damping member (12) has at least one opening (24) to allow water flow in and out, and each is welded to the top and bottom layers with little or no distortion of the layers so that they are not weakened. <IMAGE></p> |
