Described is a process for augmenting or enhancing the aroma of a solid or liquid anionic, cationic or nonionic detergent comprising the step of intimately admixing with said solid and liquid anionic, cationic or nonionic detergent base at least one cyclic chemical compound having the structure: <IMAGE> wherein Z represents benzo or cyclohexano.
