This invention relates to new 2,4-dichlorophenylimidazolyl-ethan-ones- and -ols useful as antimycotic agents, especially as medicaments. The new compounds correspond to the formula: (I) in which A is a keto group or a CH(OH) group, X is halogen, straight-chain or branched alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms or phenyl optionally substituted by halogen, preferably chlorine, and n is an integer from 0 to 3, preferably from 0 to 2.
