PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of an error with respect to the recording position of a register mark by setting the reference position to a position adjacent or close to the leading edge part in the subscanning direction of a color original picture. CONSTITUTION:A marker 34 which can be detected by a photoelectric device of a pickup head is provided in a position adjacent or close to the leading edge part in the subscanning direction of a color original picture 33 set to an original picture drum 31, and the position where the pickup head detects this marker is used as the reference position for register mark recording to start counting clock pulses. Consequently, relative relations between the set position of the original picture 33 and the reference position are not changed even if the original picture drum 31 is expanded or contracted, and register marks are recorded don respective color separation images, which are exposed and recorded by plural times of scanning, in the same positional relations. Thus, the occurrence of an error is prevented with respect to relative position relations between respective recorded images and register marks. |
