Separator for washings from concrete mixers and transporters - which separately recovers gravel, sand, cement and clean water

A separator for washings from concrete mixers and delivery trucks includes two tanks. The first is an open-topped horizontal semi-cylindrical structure with a rotating shaft along its centreline to which are attached three drums and two spiral scrapers. The first drum filters out gravel and stones, the second sand, whilst the third transfers the water/cement residue to the second tank. The scrapers move the sand towards the second drum. The second tank has a flat bottom, vertical sides and flat, outward sloping ends. The cement settles to the bottom which is continuously scraped to remove the sediment. The clean water is precycled to the washing out station. The design permits the rugged construction appropriate to the machine's use. Materials are recovered. Water is conserved. Hard deposits of concrete are avoided in the washing station.
