PURPOSE:To make it possible to widen the band of a slot antenna greatly by adding a phase compensator consisting of metal plates provided in parallel to the direction of an electric field radiated from respective radio wave radiating elements. CONSTITUTION:At halfway points of wavegide 1, slots 2 are provided at intervals where they are in phase at opening part 10 and at a design center frequency. Nearly in parallel to the direction of electric fields irradiated from respective slots 2, metal plates 8 are provided at both sides of slots at an interval greater a half wavelength and less than one wavelength being faced from the wall surface of waveguide 1 to the front of the slot antenna. As for the length of this metal plate 8, the length from slot 2 close to feeding outlet 3 to antenna openning part 10 is made long, where phase delay is increased to compensate phase delay in waveguide 1. |
