The system makes use of the exhaust steam to pre-heat the feed water to the boiler. The exhaust comes from the high pressure turbine or the low pressure turbine. The storage drums for the high pressure turbine and the low pressure turbine are supplied by the heat exchangers and the feed water heater exchangers provide water for the economiser. The feed water may also be heated by the exchangers supplied from the storage drums.
