<p>The motor has a chamber above the sealing arrangement filled with water for pressure equalising and lubricating of the motor shaft. The shaft extends through the enclosure and holds a rotating slip-ring (8) which slips against a non-rotating slipring (16) fixed to the enclosure and forms a seal. The non-rotating slipring (16) is connected to the enclosure by means of a rubber support membrane (6) with its outer circumference and to the shaft via slipring (16) so that there is a passage (23) for water between the gliding surfaces. The slip rings are arranged to part from one another during motion due to pressures set up in the chamber by overwinding the spring mounted inside the sealing chamber.</p> |
