<p>PURPOSE:To prolong the useful life of the titled solid as well as to reduce a regenerating cost by a method, in regnerating the titled solid, the above described solid is heated to gasify an adsorbed substance and the gasified adsorbed substance is used to activate the aforementioned solid. CONSTITUTION:S in an exhaust gas from a boiler 2 is adsorbed on semicoke in a desulfurizing tower 4. The semicoke as above described adsorbing agent is prepared by subjecting coal as a stock material to dry distillation in the dry distillation tower 4 and, subsequently, activating by steam and O2 in an activating tower 9. In regenerating of a carbonaceous solid adsorbing the S in above described exhaust gas as H2SO4, above described solid is taken out from the desulfurizing tower 4 and, after powder substance is separated, heated to an appropriate temp. in a moving layer type reaction tower 20 to gasify the adsorbed substance. The above described gas containing SO2 or the like is sent into a converter 22 through a conduit 21 and a part of the desorbed semicoke is recirculated and reused after powder substance is removed and a part thereof is reacted with SO2, CO2 in the aforementioned desorbed gas to restore the adsorbing activity and SO2 is converted to S.</p> |
