<p>PURPOSE:To supplement copying papers with ease by a method wherein a copying paper detection mechanism detects when the copying papers are run out of under the copying process in order to operate a cassette selection mechanism and then make the cassette removable from the duplicating machine. CONSTITUTION:In the duplicating machine including upper and lower cassettes 13, 14 to accomodate copying papers 17, 18 of different sizes, respectively, when a selection lever 1 is set upward, for example, and the upper cassette 13 is selected, a cassette selection mechanism lever 3 is pulled up by a spring 10 and a set lever 4 coupled with the spring 10 pushes up a paper lifting plate 15, so that the copying papers are made ready for feeding. Then, when the papers 17 are run out of due to the repeat of the copying process, a paper detecting switch 21 is turned on and an indication lamp (not shown) for noticing the absence of papers in the upper cassette is lit up while operating a plunger 7. Upon this, the lever 3 is streched and the set lever 4 is lowered so that the upper casette 13 becomes removable from the duplicating machine.</p> |
