<p>In a trouser-treating apparatus the legs and the upper portion are pressed in a single operation.
<??>The apparatus comprises a vertically-oriented buck (14) with pants retaining means (32, 34) and pressing means (50, 52) movable into pressing relationship with the buck (14) to press the legs of the pants; the upper portion of the pants being pressed by moving the buck relative to a pressing member (60) such that said pressing member (60) is inserted into the upper portion of the pants, expanding the pressing member (60) inside the pants and moving a pair of pressing heads (72, 74) into pressing relationship with the upper portion of the pants.
<??>The pants can also be pressed by blowing a gas including steam into the pants, thereby inflating the same, and moving pressing heads into pressing relationship with the inflated pants. </p> |
