PURPOSE:To make it possible to reproduce information stably without noise in a variable speed, by using a code where approximately adjacent tracks are reproduced even if the reproducing head is across two recording tracks. CONSTITUTION:Horizontal recording tracks 10, 11,...15, 16... are recorded oppositely to one another on continuous recording tracks 2, 3 and 4 of magnetic tape 1. Code bits are arranged in a fixed distance from the horizontal line part and are so recorded that bits of the same digit of adjacent recording tracks may be opposite to each other. The clock pulse from clock pulse source 123 in a fixed relation to the horizontal synchronizing pulse connected to horizontal synchronizing separator 22 is used to code the video signal of video signal source 20 by coder 21. The output of coder 21 is applied to recording head 18 through recording processing amplifier 124. By this circuit constitution, bits of the same digit on adjacent recording tracks can be recorded oppositely to each other even if the recording medium is one of a tape, a disc and a drum. |
