PURPOSE:To make an analysis of sulfur, etc., with high sensitivity by removing hydrocarbons or the like coexisting in a sample by providing an oxidation reaction part with a heating method between a sample supply part and flame light luminosity detector. CONSTITUTION:Detection unit 1 equipped with sample supply part 2, oxidation reaction part 3 that has heating method 4 and is filled with an oxidation catalyst such as WO3 and Fe2O3, and flame light luminosity detector 5 consisting of optical filter 6, etc., detecting flame light FPD is used for an analysis of sulfur that coexists with hydrocarbons or the like. To supply part 2, a sample is sent together with carrier gas (N2, etc.) and the hydrocarbons are changed into CO2 and H2O at oxidation reaction part 3 so as to cause no disturbance as to frame light detection of S, so that a high-sensitive qualitative and quantitative analysis will be made. To separate respective components by providing a chromatograph separation column between supply part 2 and reaction part 2 is also recommended. Detector 5 is provided with photomultiplier 7, electrometer 8 and recorder 9 to display and record results. |
