摘要 PURPOSE:To make possible the tuning fork resonance torsional quartz oscillator, by forming the torsional oscillation with tuning fork type and taking care of the electrode arrangement. CONSTITUTION:When an AC voltage is fed to the electrodes 10, 10b, 11, 11c-11d, via the terminals 12 and 13, an electric field is fed to the quartz oscillator 9 as shown in solid and dotted lines. As a result, the tuning fork oscillates toward the arrow shown in the solid and dotted lines on the connecting electrodes 11a, 11b at the tip of the tuning fork. Next, taking consideration of the resonant frequency f2, the resonant frequency f2 is f2proportional 1/(2L2+L3), where the length of the tuning fork is L2 and L3 is the distance between the arms of tuning fork, and if L3 is equal to L2, the resonance frequency of the tuning fork type is smaller than conventional both-end free type, about 1/2. Thus, in other words, when the resonant frequency of the both-end free type and the tuning fork type is the same, the length L2 of the tuning fork type can be made smaller than that of conventional type, allowing to achieve small size unit.
