PURPOSE:To improve the work efficiency of connection and improve reliability of connection positions, by using a photosensitive resin composite as an adhesive for the connection part where optical fibers are connected mutually. CONSTITUTION:Coating material 2 of connection part 1 where optical fibers are connected mutually is removed, and they are connected by the fusing method. After photosensitive resin composite 4 such as epoxy-acrylate resin is applied to the whole of bare fiber 3 or a part of the optical fiber having coating material 2 after connection, composite 4 is hardened by ultraviolet ray irradiation. Otherwise, after the composite material of spiran resin and Kevlar of heat-resistant resin 5 is applied, and this composite material is hardened by ultraviolet ray irradiation. In both cases, heating is no required for hardening the adhesive, and connection loss can be restrained, and the work time can be shortened. By using heat-resistant fibers, the connection part can be reinforced. |
