<p>C A N A D A The disclosure relates to toilets of the kind which incorporate a waste-receiving tank or chamber in which decomposition of waste material takes place. The toilet includes an air-manifold assembly having a plurality of air outlet tubes positioned in a lower region of the chamber in which waste material collects. The tubes have air openings which are directed downwardly away from the waste material. The air-manifold assembly receives heated air which flows through the outlet opening in the tubes for removing moisture from the waste material by evaporation. Perforate baffle means is provided in the waste receiving chamber and forms a basket-like structure supported on the air outlet of the air-manifold assembly. The baffle means confines the waste material and defines at least one air space laterally of the waste material into which heated air can pass for improving efficiency of moisture evaporation.</p> |
