A cigarette ashtray which consists of a portion for accomodating cigarette butts and a portion for storing water for extinguishing burning cigarette butts. After the burning end of a cigarette is dipped in the water stored in the water storing portion and extinguished, the extinguished cigarette butt is discareded in the cigarette butt accomodating portion in which no water is stored. The most preferable ashtray consists of a portion (2) in which the cigarette butt accommodating portion is detachably provided at the center of the ash-tray (1), and a portion (3) for storing water is placed in contact with the outside of the butt accommodating portion. |
