<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of disaster in the solvent recoverer by detecting the concentration or its changing ratio of CO2 present in adsorbed gas and then operating the disaster preventing device when an organic solvent adsorbed on activated carbon is recovered. CONSTITUTION:A solvent-containing gas is introduced through a filter 1 into an adsorption tower 3, where the solvent is adsorbed and removed by the activated carbon layer 4 and cleaned gas is discharged through a dust 5 to the outside. And, during the adsorption process, an electromagnetic valve 13 is opened and the gas from a detection point 11 is sampled and sent to a CO2 detector 16 to measure the concentration or its changing ratio of CO2. Then, although the detection of CO2 is not required during the desorption process because no danger of fire occurs, during the downtime, the valve 13 is closed, the electromagnetic valve 17 is opened, and the concentration or its changing ratio of CO2 in the gas sampled from a detection point 12 beneath a layer 4 is measured. And, when any anomaly inside the tower 3 is sensed from the measured values, a safety device for an N2 bomb 18 or water injection line is operated to supply N2 or water to the tower 3 for preventing disaster.</p> |
