<p>PURPOSE:Tc enable printing a serial number on the document of every classification box by providing a sorter classification recognition part, a serial number control part end a printing device respectively in an optical character control device for feeding a document as read to a sorter mechanism for the classification of the document into a plurality of classification boxes. CONSTITUTION:A sorter classification recognition part 2 recognizes the classification box of a document on the basis of document data 11 from a read part 1 and outputs classification box information as data 22. And a control signal 21 is outputted therefrom and a serial number control part 3 is thereby started. And the control part 3 retrieves dat in a memory 4, selects a serial number corresponding to the data 22 and outputs the number as printing data 32. And a printing device 5 is thereby made to print the document on the basis of the data 32, the selected serial number is counted up and the serial number after counting is stored in the memory 4 as data 33. A sorter part 6, upon receipt of the data 22, sends the document thereof to a corresponding classification box.</p> |
