Gas or oil-fired air heater - has casing walls directing air to line of burners at inlet

The air heater uses gaseous or liq. fuel, the incoming air to be heated being directed past a line of burners by a casing of plate material. The line of burners (1) is situated at the casing inlet (11), the air being directed to them by the casing walls. The casing can be of truncated pyramidal section with mounting flanges (10), the open inlet forming the base. The burners can be formed by openings in a fuel pipe, discharging fuel between two perforated burner plates (4) mounted in a V-pattern. The plates extend for the entire height of the pyramid, to slightly below its open top.
