PURPOSE:To make it possible to facilitate change from a metal cable to an optical fiber cable, by giving interchangeability between code levels on the transmission line. CONSTITUTION:The ternary electric signal output from the transmission part of one remote station is input to receiving part 21 of the photocoupler and is converted to a binary electric signal. The converted binary signal is sent to optical module 23 for transmission and is subjected to electrooptic conversion and is input to the optical module for receiving by optical fiber cable 28. Meanwhile, in optical module 24 which has received a light signal from another station through light distributing part 27, photoelectric conversion is performed to obtain an electric signal. This electric signal is converted to a ternary electric signal by JK flip-flop 29 and NAND gate 30 and is output to the metal cable 20 side. |
