PURPOSE:To simply recognize the coexistence of a body having discrimination signs with another body, by providing a plurality of discrimination signs on the body and using an image analyzer to recognize an image defined by the signs to discriminate the body from others. CONSTITUTION:When light emitted from a light projector 1 is blocked by a body, a signal is generated by a light receiver 2. A cemera 5 installed over an automobile 6 and an animal 7 is operated by the signal. An image formed by the camera is applied to an image analyzer and processed. Images of discrimination signs 8 attached to the automobile 6, within the processed image, are detected. If there are no body images but the image of the automobile 6 whose contour is almost defined by the images of the discrimination signs 8, a gate 4 is opened. If the image of the body 7 is present in addition to that of the automobile 6, the gate 4 is not opened. |
