<p>The mechanism is particularly for chamfering or milling the edge of a workpiece, using a swarf-removal tool fitting in an aperture in a guide rail or similar support for the workpiece. Adjustments are provided for the tool cutting depth, and between workpiece and tool in the axial direction of the latter so as to bring different parts of it into use. The guide rail (4) is supported on one or more eccentrics (5) with a screw thread (6) engaging in a threaded component (9) secured to the rail. The eccentric can be arranged to act against one end of the rail, which can be secured to a taoped sleeve accommodating an eccentric bolt.</p> |
