Control valve for dual brake circuit - has conical end of control piston engaging hollow end of second piston for override control on circuit failure

The control valve for a dual circuit brake system has a stepped piston for the modulated brake pressure on the rear brakes. An override control applies the full brake pressure to the rear brakes if the front brakes should fail. The override control has a conical valve element locating in an open bore in the one piston. The cone and open bore forms a failsafe valve arrangement. The valve operates at normal braking without any danger of sticking.
