Protective helmet with air supply - has air inlet into gap between perforated inner skin and plain outer skin

The protective helmet consists of a plastics outer skin and an inner plastics skin with perforations. The two skins are separated by distancing webs forming a gap into which the breathing air is supplied via hose connected to a trunk-like extension at the rear of the helmet. The front part of the helmet has a plastics transparent visor. The two skins are pliable to a certain extent and as the air is supplied under a slight overpressure the outer skin is lifted off the inner skin while the gap between the two skins acts as a pressure chamber achieving even air distribution through the perforations. The spent air leaves the helmet via a gap between the lower edge of the helmet and the shoulder of the user.
