The rotary printing press accessory controls the wiper pressure dependent on the machine speed, particularly against the block cylinder of a photogravure press. In addition to the stop valves moving the wipers in and out of position, hydraulically- or pneumatically-operated pressure-reducing valves give simultaneous and even adjustment of the wipers, and are centrally controlled. Each stop valve (6) and its corresponding reducing valve (7,9) have a common cut-off plunger (3), and the pressure applied to all plungers is controlled by a reducing valve (7) affected both by the adjustable basic pressure of the wipers (2) and also the machine speed.(DS).
