<p>PURPOSE:To enable the entire wind energy received by a wind mill to be converted into rotational energy by constituting the wind mill such that a wind receiving wing is suspended on each of wing supporting arms mounted on a vertical rotary shaft and extending perpendicularly to and radially from the vertical rotary shaft and a wind receiving wing stopper is provided in a vertically lower position below each wing supporting arm. CONSTITUTION:Wing supporting arms 2 are mounted on and extend perpendicularly to and radially from a vertical rotary shaft 1. A wind receiving wing 3 is suspended from each of the wing supporting arms 2. A stopper 4 is provided in a vertically lower position below each wing supporting arm 2. When a wind receiving wing 3 is opposed to wind and subjected to the wind pressure, it is fixed by the corresponding wing supporting arm 2 and stopper 4 to receive the full wind pressure so that the energy of thr wind is fully utilized for rotation of the rotary shaft 1. Meanwhile, a wind receiving wing 3 in the opposite position is moved away from the corresponding stopper 4 to allow the wind to pass thereby. Thus, the entire wind energy received by a wind mill can be converted into rotational energy.</p> |
