<p>The vehicle clutch has a dished flywheel supporting a coupling plate (7) on a port of the drive shaft. Behind this, on the output side is a spring plate supported by a collar on ball bearings forming part of the declutching system. The balls are supported on a sleeve which slides on an inner sleeve mounted on the drive shaft, and controlled by an arm. This arm is swung towards the flywheel by an actuator mechanism at the top, above the clutch and flywheel, about a pivot point formed by a spherical joint at the bottom, below the clutch and flywheel. The spherical head of the joint is at the end of a rod embedded in the engine casing.</p> |
