PURPOSE:To simplify the structure, improve the splashing and secure the lubrication by reducing the number of parts used for containing and holding the angular contact ball bearing at the bearing containing portion of a gear case. CONSTITUTION:A bearing containing portion 22 is penetratingly provided at a thick wall portion 21a of a gear case 21 and a reduced-diametered stepped portion 23 is integrally formed at the inside peripheral edge of the inside end of the opening, to support one axial end of the outer ring 24b of an angular contact ball bearing 24. An arch-shaped splash-oil guide face 21c is formed at the portion extending from the inside surface of the ceiling plate 21b of the gear case 21 to the reduced-diametered stepped portion 23. Further, a housing 27 with a stepped portion 27a projecting cylindrically toward the inside of the bearing containing portion 22 and engaging the latter is integrally formed at the inside surface portion of a cover member 25, and the housing 27 is fitted over the outside peripheral surface of the outer ring 24b of the angular contact ball bearing 24, so that the stepped portion 27b adequately presses the other axial end of the outer ring 24b. |
