The framework has an upper surface (6) supported above a lower surface (7) and a parallel to it, the distance between them allowing a vehicle to be parked on the lower surface when the frame is in its lifted position. Part of the structure between the surfaces is attached to a parallelogram linkage (1, 2) secured at one end to uprights of a fixed frame. The surfaces are lifted by an actuator cylinder (14) with its telescopic arm attached to the upper surface. The surfaces are supported spaced from each other by vertical ars (11, 12) with the other ends of the parallelogram linkage secured by hinge pins (21, 22) to the rear vertical arm (11).
