Elastic material strip cutting machine - has one blade of cutter assembly rotating at speed higher than that of stretching roller speed

The elastic material (5) has a hose-like shape with column (1) in its centre and the cutting assembly is mounted on the top of the machine. The two counter rotating cutter shafts (7,8) are driven by a gear assembly fitted in a cantilever arm housing (2) attached to the column (1). Each pair of rotary cutters (11,11') is mounted on hubs which are keyed on shafts (7,8). The hubs are provided with resilient layers of material (15) on their circumference acting as stretching rollers. The two stretching rollers have a smaller dia. than the OD of the blades (11,11'). The two blades are driven at a speed higher than the advance speed of main roller (4) so that the stretching rollers feed the material to the cutters without slip, resulting in a clean cutting surface.
